Rewrite, retype, rethink. Essen International and Solvatten has created a font where the word "Refugee" is automatically changed into "Human".

The communication bureau Essen International and the organization Solvatten wants to pay attention to what meaning words have. They are now launching a collaborative campaign, Common Sans, consisting of a new font.

With the new font words change as they are written. The word “Refugee” turns in to “Human”.

“Being a refugee is a temporary status, being a human is permanent. Humans are amazing. A stamp on their passport should not let us believe otherwise.” is the words written on the front page of Common Sans’ website.

The font can be downloaded at the campaigns website where you also are able to donate to the UN’s refugee agency UNHCR and the help organizations the Red Cross and Solvatten.
